Joe Pa

I know a lot of people have different views on Joe Paterno and what happened.  I agree with most people that Joe Paterno had the opportunity to go to the police and he didn't.  He should have told the higher administration as well as calling the police about the incident.  What I disagree with is the schools choice to fire him.  Know, either there is more to the investigation than what most people know that they are not telling us, or they just totally made the wrong decision and should have let him finish the season.
The trustees said the decision "was for the benefit for the university", how is it benefiting the university, or the families, to take someone out that really did not witness the event, or had no part in it?  McQueary saw the event, and told Paterno, so why is Paterno the one that gets fired while McQueary is coaching this Saturday's game?  Paterno is a man that I look up to and one of my favorite people in football, and I agreed from the beginning that he could have done more.  But, why are we firing him when there was a better way to go at all of this?  A riot was not for the benefit of the school, I guarantee that the school knew that the students would riot.  P
